הלעיטני נא מן-האדם האדם הזה

A project of mine over the past two years has been the rehabilitation of my family's raspberry patch. When we first moved into this house a decade ago, the patch was thriving. But over the years it was somewhat neglected and it burned itself out. Seeing what was happening, I started to lavish some TLC (Tender Loving Care) on the small, bedraggled remaining canes. This TLC includes annual applications of fertilizer, vigilant pruning of old canes, laying mulch around the bases of the canes, and even occasional watering. Now I'm finally seeing the fruits of my labours. The new growth this year is overwhelmingly tall and leafy, and the old growth is giving us a satisfactory amount of berries. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

Yum, yum! Look at that. My Mom made challah bread today. Shabbat is coming in only two days!

HaAm im Gush Katif! (The people are with Gush Katif!)

With the forcible removal of Jews from their homes in the Gaza strip imminent, here's an excellent article to read.

The final installment of the tale of this summer's roadtrip.

Oklahoma is a fine place. The air is very humid. The soil is very red.

Ok, so I went to Camp Yeshua. It's a week long annual "Messianic" youth camp in Oklahoma that is organized by Lion and Lamb ministries. It was an amazing experience. Every day was packed full of activity. I danced sooo much throughout the week. There were dance workshops, dancing during the worship time in the evenings, and "starlight dance" under the stars on the big playing field. Plus, after lunch some days I'd dance and sing with some guys by some shady trees. When I say dance I mostly mean Hebraic-style dance. Of course it wasn't all dancing. There were games, swimming time, and lots of great teaching from men like Monte Judah and Brad Scott. Bill Cloud was the camp director, and he did a superb job.
I got to meet so many wonderful people, and renew past friendships. I love Yeshua, and it's encouraging to know that there's many others out there that love Him also. Although we live thousands of miles from one another, He is still our head, and He has united us into one nation, Israel, through His blood shed upon the cross. Halleluyah!

After Camp Yeshua ended, we spent Shabbat and 'Sunday' with three guys from Michigan. We shared a motel room, and did stuff together in the Norman/Oklahoma City area. Then Israel, Christopher, Colin, and I started the drive north through Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. We found some lovely camping spots on the way, as the picture above will attest.

What will be next, now that I've returned to Canada? Stay tuned for further updates.

I got back to Saskatoon last night. Someday I'll write up a summary of my trip around Turtle Island, but for now I can only say "Praise Yah!" for His overwhelming goodness to me.

Also, I uploaded a small sampling of photos from the trip to my Flickr page.
