This is Darlene. I found your site from Melanies site. It was great getting to know you better at sukkot. and I am so jealous that you are going to Israel, but I pray that you have a good trip. It looks like you had an adventure going home also, but it's good to see that you guys got home safely. Well...talk to you later.
I agree with you in what you said about marriage.. and it is all in the Father's timing, so I'm not worried about it at all though I do know a handful of people who are very *worried* about it.. Maybe you'll find someone in Israel? lol.. but surely that's not the reason for your going ;)
Judges 12:6 - then they would say to him, "Say now, 'Shibboleth.' " But he said, "Sibboleth," for he could not pronounce F205 it correctly. Then they seized him and slew him at the fords of the Jordan. Thus there fell at that time 42,000 of Ephraim.
Hey Amanda, good explanation. Sibboleth epitomizes Ephraim's uniqueness (and that of the "Messianic" movement) in a single word. It means living an Israeli lifestyle (speaking Hebrew, etc.), but not being afraid of looking and acting differently from other Israelis (even when faced with death!) as long as you're not contradicting the Torah.
I died. I DIED! I want the whole world to know that I died. I have been crucified with Messiah and I no longer live, but Messiah lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of Elohim (God), who loves me and gave himself for me. I am alive today because Yeshua, the Son of Elohim, is alive.
