I just watched a film from 1989 of the Neville brothers in concert in New Orleans. In his opening remarks Charles Neville talks about how New Orleans is "30 degrees north of the equator, 90 degrees west of the rising sun, 6 feet below sea level."
Today it's 6 feet below the sea.
...is it a sign of the judgment?

I totally believe that what happened to New Orleans was a judgment from Yahweh. This specific city was hit because of its debauchery, but the United States was definitely the target. The US has been playing a double handed game with Israel. Supporting Israel, while pushing Israelis out of their land. You do not touch the apple of Yahweh's eye without having reprocusions for it. Yahweh was sending his judgment for the US's participating in the disengagement of Israel. Well that's my opinion anyway. Shalom, and have a good Shabbat.
Dear anonymous, thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree with you 100%. I am persuaded that this hurricane that has struck America was a judgment for their participation in the disengamement of Israel.
We have to stand with the nation of Israel in these days, or we will suffer the consequences with those who oppose it.

Ken, two decades ago Ariel Sharon was building houses in the "Occupied Territories" of Israel. Now he's tearing them down. It's obvious that foreign pressure has caused his change of policy, and much of the pressure comes from the States.
Ariel Sharon will receive justice from God for his deeds as you and I will be shown justice. The God of Israel is just, and His justice is being shown constantly to all the earth. We all get exactly what we deserve. Death. But God's Son Yeshua (Jesus) is our life, and it is A FACT that if we die with Him we shall also live with Him.
Hurricane Katrina as a direct consequence sent from God for the disengagement in Israel is not something I'm going to proclaim from the rooftops. It's just a spiritual hunch I have. The timing of the hurricane was extremely interesting, eh?
