The sun rose this morning, and all the snow of the past few days is melted. It's the first day of May. And we're in the sixth week of the Omer count.
I want some comments, so I have a question for everyone that visits this blog. Make it three questions.
Where were you born?
Who do you think discovered America?
What is a film/album/book that changed your life?
Thanks for your participation.

Hi Joel, I'll play.
-I was born in a small city on southern coast of Norway called Kristiansand.
-America has yet to be "discovered".
-The Gospel of Matthew changed my life, particularily the 5-7ish chapters. That was during my formation as an adolescent, grade 8 I guess.
Y'all jump on the band wagon and post a comment, eh.
PD
Hrmmm I'll play along too.
-born in the small slab of concrete many like to call "Toronto" (actually North York General Hospital to be specific)
-There IS no Amerikkka!
-Jeremiah 29:11-13 COMPLETELY changed my life. That's my mantra right there. Also Psalms 121.
As for a book(s) outside the Bible, hmmm...'Journey To Ixtlan' definitely did it in 10th grade. I'd then say 'Black Boy' did in 12th. Then I'd say for my uni years Sartre's 'Being and Nothingness' alongside Cesaire's 'Cahier du retour au Pays Natal'. And that's it so far.
Thanks for playing along folks. You've all made me so very happy.
My turn:
-born in the town of Killarney, province of Manitoba, country of Canada.
-my personal theory is that America was "first" discovered by Israelite/Phoenecian sailors, who were the ancestors of the aboriginal nations of this continent.
-a film that changed my life was Apollo 13. I saw it in the theatre when I was 11, and it ignited my personal quest to learn everything I possibly could about the American and Russian space programs.
In my teen years a major influence on my life and thought was the poetry and stories of G.K. Chesterton - particularly his collection simply entitled "Poems".
Anyone else?
